As you know, we are adopting siblings currently in foster care. To pass the (interminable) wait time, I have been doing some freelance writing for AdoptionBlogs.com. I am also knitting for the Red Scarf Project that I learned about at Black Purl Magazine’s community forums. The Red Scarf Project distributes red scarves in their Valentine’s Day Care Packages to children “aging out” of the foster care system. These kids have made the choice to go onto college and the packages are distributed to them to encourage them and let them know someone loves them!
